Ralph Stephens

Ralph Stephens is a nationally recognized massage therapist, author, and continuing education provider in the field of therapeutic massage specializing in medical massage, sports massage, and therapeutic chair massage. A 2008 inductee into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame, he was the first to adapt specific, therapeutic massage and stretching techniques to the massage chair, authored the first textbook on chair massage, and has produced 16 massage training videos.

He has served as an elected member of the AMTA National Board of Directors and as chair of the Iowa Board of Examiners for Massage Therapy. In 1997, he was awarded the AMTA National Meritorious Award.

The 23-year veteran of massage therapy maintains a private practice specializing in pain/injury management and athletic enhancement in Iowa City, Iowa.
